What Is Freeware Antivirus and Its Relation with Spyware
When the user needs to install an antivirus program one question often comes to mind whether to choose between a freeware version and paid version. Of course there is a vast difference between these two otherwise a programmer would have not just wasted time in writing thousands of source codes and spending months on it. Then how the company gets benefit through freeware antivirus software?
They include a company endorsement which will pop up automatically when the system is online for which they are paid. On contrary, a paid version of antivirus software has more features like technical support which freeware antivirus software do not have. Moreover freeware antivirus does not have file recovery. For instance, if a user mistakenly deletes a file which is not a virus then it cannot be recovered. But in case of a paid version the recovery option is available. Features vary from software to software and free version to paid version.
Spyware: A spyware is a program designed in such a way that gathers information and can be mutely installed and run in secrecy mode which is used to collect information from a user's machine. The information may be passwords, history of the websites visited, software installed on the machine, registry settings, version of operating system.
A spyware is a program that is attached with the software that is offered for free. But in addition it scans your computer system for information like e-mail address. And all this is done for advertisement purposes. In order to get rid of such spyware you must install a firewall, antivirus program and anti spyware program which will certainly fix your entire internet security problem.
