Birth of Viruses and Their Effect

Computer virus is the most destructive program ever made by some of the most brilliant computer mind. In real world these viruses are of great danger as our life now totally depends on computers from internet to control satellites, machines. A high level virus when executed, it can even destroy your entire computer system though it is referred to as a program and it does its work so fast that we even don't suspect it. Famous viruses like "Dedicated", "Vienna", "Cascade", "Chameleon", "Tequila", "Concept", "Laroux", "Back Orifice", "Cheating" has created history in past decade. We must be alert and use all source of protection against these damaging and disabling viruses. Antivirus must be installed in every computer system with internet connection.  

Installing an antivirus is not enough; regular updating of virus dictionary is required to give the proper security to the system as everyday new viruses are adding in the "world of viruses". Computer can be secured with many committed antivirus programs which can be downloaded for free and are available on the net and CDs with computer magazines.  

We often do chatting on the internet but do not know that most of the viruses arrive from these chatting sessions in the form of program and files. It is so because there is countless number of chat users available. Most of the virus creators are well adjusted youths who just want to create chaos and destruction out of their mind. So it is advised to backup copies of all your important documents which will help if the system is infected by virus. Backup can be done in Floppies, CDs, DVDs and Pen drives depending on the user. If your freeware antivirus does not intimate you when a virus was entered in the computer, you must scan your PC following the instructions of your antivirus program. Also a virus can be removed online also if its source is internet.
